Our corrections policy

We get things wrong. Do this long enough and sooner or later you nail a number down, overstate something, or realize later that the wording wasn't quite right. Here's how we handle it: the moment we catch an error, or someone points one out, we update the page as soon as we can and log the change here in the open — which page, what it used to say, what it says now, and why we changed it. We think owning a fix is more credible than pretending we never slipped.

If you spot something off, email [email protected] — ideally with the page and the exact sentence. Once we verify it, we fix it and note it here. Below is the record so far, most recent first.

The record

June 18, 2026 · Fees page (/cost/binance-fees/)

Correction: an older version used a specific spot-fee number and a ballpark range without current, market-specific evidence in the private ledger. The number has now been removed in favor of the rate shown on the user's account fee page. Formula examples are labeled as hypothetical inputs, not platform quotes.

June 11, 2026 · Grid parameters (/grid/params/)

Removed the inaccurate line "the narrower the range, the more you make." Why: a narrow range does make individual grids trigger more often, but it also sharply raises the odds of the price leaving the range and the grid stalling, and it lets fees eat a bigger share of each grid's profit. That line played up the upside and hid the risk, which can push beginners into setting their range too tight. We rewrote it as "a narrow range fills more often but is more likely to break out of range, and fees take a bigger cut — it's a trade-off," and linked to why you can lose money.

June 5, 2026 · Grid guide (/grid/)

Added a liquidation-risk warning to the futures-grid section. Why: the original leaned on "you can capture volatility in both directions" but didn't say enough about how a one-sided market under leverage can hit forced liquidation and magnify losses. That's information about the safety of your principal, and it can't be left out. We added a clear liquidation/forced-liquidation paragraph and a reminder that a futures grid is not guaranteed profit.

That's all for now. This page gets updated whenever we change something — no new entries just means we haven't found anything else that needs fixing yet, which doesn't mean there's nothing there, so please keep calling out mistakes.
